The desert was just beginning to bloom when we were there. I'm told that after a bit of rain the entire desert bursts with new life. It must be incredible!
See the notch in the mountains? That's the Santa Elena Canyon where we canoed. On your left is Mexico and on the right is the good ol U.S. of A. It only took the Rio Grand a million years or so to cut down through that rock and make a canyon.....
